The shingles vaccine is now freely available in Quebec to seniors 80 and older and to people over 18 who are immunocompromised. But the risk increases for everyone starting at about age 50 and so Dr. Donald Vinh also said the efficacy of the vaccine dictates that ‘it should be more widely available.’ Source
